Born in Jordan and raised in Switzerland is not often followed by the term "soul singer", but it seems the universe had other plans when they brought Rana Rains Into this world. Singing before she could talk, Rana developed a style reminiscent of the great female soul singers of sixties while adding just enough of her own flare to create a bridge between what was and what surely will be. Her rich sense of interpretive melody, coupled with her unique vocal coloring bring to mind the likes of Dusty Springfield and Candi Staton while her exclusively positive messaging is almost unparalleled.
